Philippe Berrod is an internationally-renowned French clarinetist and Principal clarinet of the Orchestre de Paris since 1995.
Since 2011, he has succeed to Michel Arrignon as the Principal Professor at the prestigious Paris Conservatory (Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique de Paris).
Philippe Berrod is also the artistic advisor for Henri SELMER Paris, designer and manufacturer of wind instruments since 1985.
Invited as guest soloist around the world, he also performs chamber music with prestigious artists and collaborates with composers : Messiaen, Boulez, Denisow, Mantovani...
He is also invited as soloist by the Malher Chamber Orchestra, the European Chamber Orchestra and the Bayerisch Rundfunk in Munich.
Philippe Berrod is the recipient of many international competition prizes, and recorded albums with various label such as Indésens records, Sony classical, Cristal records unanimously awarded ("choc Classica", 4 stars Télérama, Diapason, "Clé de l'année" Resmusica, nominated at the french classical music award 2011).
He performs on Privilege clarinets. With pianist Nicolas Dessene he recorded Musik'it DVDs - pedagogical pieces for clarinet and piano.
